A client approached us with a unique requirement: they need to detect metal impurities in unpackaged sugar bars. Our metal detector machine was to be installed directly after the sugar bar production equipment. The sugar bars, with a diameter of approximately 4 cm, moved at an unusually slow speed of only 4 m/min. This presented a significant challenge, as our standard belt-type metal detectors are optimized for speeds ranging from 15 to 36 m/min, where they deliver the best detection performance.

To address this issue, our technical team drew on previous experience with similar cases and formed a dedicated project team to tackle this specific challenge. Rigorous testing was conducted to ensure the machine would perform reliably under the conditions of the client’s production line. When the machine was installed on-site, it operated seamlessly, and the client expressed high satisfaction with the result.

And since the product being detected was unpackaged food, we utilize an FDA-certified food-grade conveyor belt. This ensured that the metal detection process would not contaminate the sugar bars, maintaining the highest standards of food safety.
